Glanbia has released BevWise A-100W, a whey protein isolate for use in high acid beverage applications.

Glanbia's senior product manager Paul O’Mahony spoke with FoodBev Media’s Darren Wood about the BevWise isolate and how it is low foaming, has a clean flavour, and its nutritive value. It was also mentioned how it can be used in a variety of beverage applications.

Starch-potato growers, Avebe has launched a potato protein formulation and at SupplySide West 2017, business development manager Mike Finfrock explained that its potato protein product falls under clean label, is sustainable and can be used across a wide variety of food and beverage applications.

Finfrock also says that potato protein is a ‘complete’ protein and is superior to most plant-based proteins, going on to say that some of the plant-based proteins on the market lack some of the amino acids and therefore can’t be called a complete protein.
