Synergy Flavors, a global manufacturer and supplier of flavourings, extracts and essences, has released a new sugarplum water packed with 12g of isolate protein. 

The company has released this in reaction to Starbucks recent addition of a unicorn frappuccino, as Synergy realised that they too could make fanciful flavours. The sugarplum protein water showcases what the company can achieve and was brought to life by its culinary team.

Synergy's Lindsey Oostema spoke with FoodBev Media's Darren Wood about its creation and the company's range of formulations it can provide.

GEA, a supplier of process technology for the food industry has launched the ABF 1.2, an aseptic blow fill system which enables the company to produce for up to 165 hours continuously without interruption and the company states it's possible to fill nearly almost any kind of product from clear beverages to those with particles.

The company were also keen to tell FoodBev Media's Darren Wood about its Sterilfoil technology for fitting sterile foil caps on High-density polyethylene (HDPE) bottles and PET bottles. Providing its customers with flexibility options allowing them to choose the bottling and capping system that best suits their needs.
